In their words

What critics and curators have written about the paintings.

In their words
“Vitality and optimism emerge strongly from these paintings, forming a recognisable artistic language and offering new visions of landscape, full of colour and warmth.”

Maja Živanović, art critic — Belgrade, September 2025

Vitality and optimism emerge strongly from these paintings, forming a recognisable artistic language and offering new visions of landscape, full of colour and warmth. Though the artist remains deeply connected to the countryside of Šumadija, her work reaches beyond that region — intimate explorations of a life moment rather than simple depictions of place. Painting directly and impulsively, without preliminary sketches, Radović brings cheerfulness and a return to nature in a way that feels entirely her own.

“A recent graduate at the time, Radović already showed the freedom of thought and expression that marks a mature artist.”

Zdravko Vučinić — Belgrade, November 2013

A recent graduate at the time, Radović already showed the freedom of thought and expression that marks a mature artist. Her figures are usually still, posed in real proportion, while thick, expressionistic layers of paint give the work its rhythm — rich, emotionally dense, and quietly humorous.

“The paintings show a person caught in an ordinary, everyday activity — candid, as though the subject were unaware of being observed.”

Lazar Marković — February 2015

The paintings show a person caught in an ordinary, everyday activity — candid, as though the subject were unaware of being observed. Colour dominates, yet only a few tones appear in any single canvas; the resulting contrast produces a distinct, emotionally charged mood.

“Working from Cézanne's theoretical principles, Radović treats colour as both raw material and expressive language, building a landscape practice free of dogma.”

Dr Sanja Stolić — Kragujevac, December 2019

Working from Cézanne’s theoretical principles, Radović treats colour as both raw material and expressive language, building a landscape practice free of dogma. Her painted scenes are less a subject to be reproduced than a field for exploring form itself — reduced, rhythmic, and precisely composed, sitting between expressionist urgency and fauvist warmth.
